The City After AI
This article examines how AI-driven productivity gains may reshape urban life unevenly, creating freedom and flexibility for some while producing income insecurity and greater reliance on public systems for others. Drawing on past technological transitions and urban theory, it argues that AI will not automatically improve everyday life, so cities must treat public space and social infrastructure as essential systems for absorbing the social effects of AI productivity.
