StayScore: Housing Quality Intelligence Platform

StayScore is an urban technology venture concept that transforms fragmented public housing data into clear, comparable housing-quality scores for renters, advocates, and institutional users. The platform integrates public datasets such as HPD violations, DOB building records, 311 complaints, traffic data, and environmental indicators to evaluate conditions that are usually invisible in apartment listings.
The project proposes a tenant-first access model in which renters can use the platform for free. On the other hand, institutional users such as research organizations, public agencies, insurers, and lenders support the business model through data licensing and risk assessment applications.
